the room was spacious, but badly divided (wardrobe in the much too large bathroom, no shelves and comfortable seating in the bedroom, only 1 hard chair); the breakfast buffet was of moderate quality (bread selection and quality, very little fresh fruit)

We could have lunch in Tasca Galileo set within 750 feet. We appreciated staying at bull astoria. 16 miles from Gran Canaria airport.

Location was great, 2 mins walking to reach the beach. We did full board which is great with a 5 years old child. Food is ok, not great but ok considering how cheap it is. Terrace on the top floor is absolutely great really nice to sit there in the evening. The bar is very cheap as well, so nice to have drinks in the eve upstairs whilst the children can watch tv, read or play. The hotel is really good for kids.
The only downside is the noise which sometimes makes it hard to sleep at night. It wasn't a problem for the child, and my husband slept well as well. But if you have a light sleep then it is a problem.

This Hotel is Excellent. The Staff were very attentive and friendly at all times. We would certainly stay at this Hotel again, and would recomend it to other people., The room was spotless and we were very suprised and impressed at its size (Superior Room 503) ..Reception Staff were very welcoming and curteous. Very nice bar and the Barman was very polite, there was a very good variety of food from the buffet. We normally stay in 4* or 5* hotels, and we feel this Hotel should be upgraded to 4 stars for it¬s cleanliness and service to Clients. Highly recomended.
We were advised the surrounding area was not particularly nice, but we never had any problems on our walk back to the Hotel in the evening from the Promenade which is close to the Hotel.

The Astoria was very clean and tidy with friendly staff. We had the bed and breakfast option and I can only commend the Astoria for the range of food on offer, there was something for everyone, no matter your country of origin.

Good breakfast and dinner. Great location. Not far from the beach and good for shopping. Free wifi! Needs a little renovation, but good value for money.
